What Kipense keeps about you, where, for how long, and how to have it erased.

- Kipense keeps what your groups need to work: your Google account, your groups, their tasks.
- Your data is hosted in the European Union and travels encrypted.
- No cookies. Visits are counted without knowing who you are.

What we keep
- Your Google account: your email address, your name and your picture.
- Your sessions: the IP address and the device of each sign-in.
- The names of your groups and of their members.
- The tasks, who thought of them and who did them, with their dates.
We keep only what makes the app work. Your data is neither sold nor used for advertising.
Where, and how
Your data is hosted in the European Union, in Ireland. Every exchange between the app, the site and our servers is encrypted (TLS).
The providers we share data with

- The app’s database, in the European Union (Ireland).
- PostHog
- Anonymous audience measurement, in the European Union.
- Sentry
- The app’s error and crash reports, without identifying you, in the European Union.
- Signing in with your Google account.
- Cloudflare
- Hosting the kipense.com site.
- Expo
- The app’s updates, which see your device’s IP address.
Google, Cloudflare and Expo are American companies: the data they process for Kipense is transferred to the United States under the EU–US Data Privacy Framework or the European Commission’s standard contractual clauses. Kipense processes your data in accordance with the GDPR.
Cookies and trackers
The site sets no cookies. In your browser, it keeps only the language you picked, and its visits are counted with no cookie and no identifier.
In the app, audience measurement keeps an anonymous identifier on your device, which ties it neither to your account nor to what you do in your groups. Neither the site nor the app follows you elsewhere, and neither shows advertising.
How long do we keep your data?
- Your account, your groups and their tasks: as long as your account exists.
- Audience measurement: 1 year.
- Error reports: 30 days.
Backups of the database are kept for 14 days at most.
Erasing your account
In the app: Settings › Account › Delete my account. Your email, your name, your picture and your sessions are erased at once; you leave your groups, where what you did stays, without your name.
Without the app, write to contact@kipense.com from your Google address: it is done within 30 days.
What is erased also leaves the backups within the 14 days that follow.
Your rights
You can ask to access your data, to correct it, to erase it, or object to its processing, by writing to contact@kipense.com. If the answer doesn’t satisfy you, you can complain to the CNIL, the French data protection authority.
